Pressure Reducing Valve

Product description : ARKOÇ ARK 973 Series pressure reducing control valves; are hydraulic control valves that reduce the high input pressure value to a lower desired pressure value and close off tightly when the desired outlet pressure value is reached, thanks to the pressure reducer pilot mechanisms mounted on the valve.
– The pressure reducer control valves constantly check the output pressure value which is set without being influenced by flow rate and input pressure value. When there is no flow in the system, the valve automatically closes itself completely and tightly. If there is no use on the pipe outlet line and the input pressure drops below the set pressure, the valve acts as an active check valve to seal itself in such a way as to prevent the passage of water.
– After the pressure reducing valve has been activated, the pipeline filling speed will continue as fast as a certain amount of pressure, but as soon as the set pressure value approaches the set value, the valve is gradually reduced and the remaining pressure is gradually completed.
– The valve opens automatically when the pressure and flow rate are needed in the pipeline and closes automatically when the need ends.
– The pressure reducing valve and the pilot mechanism that controls it can provide a pressure drop of about 1/5 even under difficult conditions, but when the cavitation effects in the valve and pilot mechanism are neglected, the recommended pressure drop ratio is 1/3, this is because valve loses its feature of being adjustable and automatically adjusts the output pressure setting to 1/3 by acting as a proportional pressure reducer when there is any blockage in the input signal line of the pilot mechanism connected to the shutdown valve as a result of failure to perform maintenances that should be done periodically after the first adjustment.

Things to be aware of during installation and use Before installing the valve on the pipeline, the pipeline must be free from large dirt.
The dirt trap should be put in front of the valve In case of a possible failure, an isolation valve (sliding valve or butterfly valve) must be placed in front of and behind the control valve for faster response.
When mounting the valve in its place, the lifting rings on it should be used.
It should be mounted according to the direction of the arrow on the valve cover.
It is recommended to use a dynamic air release valve in the direction of valve outlet.
Sufficient space should be left around the valve to easily make the necessary settings  and maintenance.
If accessories are installed on the valve, care must be taken to avoid possible damage and, if possible, removal of the accessories may be more appropriate if it can be  reinstalled.
